KIDS AND GETTING YOUR SEA LEGS

We love taking kids out on expeditions

There is nothing better than seeing the excitement when a kid catches a fish. It doesn’t matter if it is their first or their hundredth, they light up to the challenge and mystery of what will be on the other end of the line. Getting their first of any fish is a moment that should be treasured. Kids can often times be the most susceptible to motion sickness. Popular medications like Dramamine can make anyone drowsy, but it might turn a fishing expedition for the young angler into a six hour nap.

THE SEAKEEPER

The BB Pelagic is equipped with a Seakeeper 5, which eliminates 90% of the roll from a beam swell, which are the rolling waves that come from either side of the boat that cause most seasickness. This very expensive piece of machinery is a game changer in comfort for both the kids and for people that are newer to the boating experience.

For you adults, if you are sensitive to motion sickness we recommend that you take a Dramamine or other preferred motion sickness medication the night before you trip. This will get the medicine in your system and reduce the drowsiness that most of these medications can create. For those that are not sure about whether you get seasickness, we recommend either the Motion Sickness Patch or the SeaBand motion sickness wrist bands.
